Aug 10, 2020 · Softening point index is a critical index to access asphalt binder performance, which characterizes the viscosity, high-temperature stability and temperature sensitivity of asphalt binder (Xiao et al., 2019). From Fig. 5, the softening point of asphalt binder increased with the increase of waste crayfish shell powder. When the amounts of waste crayfish shell powder were 5%, 10%, and 20%, the softening point of control asphalt was increased by 5.4 °C, 6.1 °C and 7.9 °C, respectively.
